Geography Bundle



What’s included in the Geography bundle:

Five projects include:
Oregon Trail
A simulation that allows students to experience a trip made by over 3,000 Americans as they traveled via wagon train to the wilds of the Far West. This lesson plan includes step-by-step directions, questions students research with the simulation and websites to augment learning.
Introduction to Google Earth
Introduce students to the satellite maps and images of Google Earth: How to pan in and out, drag with the mouse, change perspective of earth’s surface, visit the solar system. Use classroom investigation into national symbols (Statue of Liberty, Pentagon, White House, etc.) to spark student interest.
Google Earth Board
Students select a Wonder of the World to research on Google Earth and then present its picture and one fact to the class.
Landforms Table in Word
Make a MS Word table with data, detail and pictures copy-pasted from the internet. Integrate with classroom unit on landforms, ecosystems, government systems and more.
Tour the World with a PowerPoint Slideshow
PowerPoint is a versatile presentation tool that integrates text, pictures, color, movement, sound into a learning strategy that will grab everyone’s attention. Use the Google Earth Wonders of the World project (this bundles) to create a slideshow.
