Use Celestia and Google Earth Sky (both free downloads) to explore the planet Earth and the Universe. Collaborate with classroom units of inquiry into science and nature.
Outlining the Science Textbook in Word
Students learn to use numbered outlines or bullets to organize notes, a science chapter, or research into an outline.
Where am I (part II)
Students add text and pictures to a numbered list, resizing graphics as needed. Reinforces keyboarding, formatting. Can be incorporated into a variety of lessons in science, history, geography, etc.
Famous Inventors and How They Invented
Students research inventors and inventions (or any topic you are discussing in your classroom) and create a slideshow following the included guide sheet.
Ecosystems Table in Word
Make a table of ecosystems (or biomes or landforms or whatever topic you’re studying in science). Add pictures and websites; team-teach this one with the classroom teacher.
